For the past couple of years landholders have worked together and talked together.
The result has been two seasons per year landholders have all baited in the one week.
Gunning District Landcare are hoping to expand this to three times per year, maybe even four, to really impact the fox breeding cycle.
Sheep producers, cattle producers and lifestyle landholders have all pooled their efforts to reduce fox numbers. Foxes have a widespread impact, not only predating lambs, but spread disease and predate native fauna.
This has only been possible through an great partnership with Local Land Services, who have worked with Gunning District Landcare all the way.
It would be great to extend this program beyond the Gunning District and into the entire Upper Lachlan community.
