Cr Stafford has held the position of Deputy Mayor since September 2016.
Upper Lachlan Shire Mayor Brian McCormack OAM congratulated Cr Stafford on his reappointment.
“Cr Stafford has done a wonderful job as Deputy Mayor over the past 12 months and I look forward to working with him over his next term,” Cr McCormack said.
Cr Stafford will hold the position of Deputy Mayor for a further one year.
Councillor Meet and Greet
Members of the community will have the opportunity to talk directly with Upper Lachlan Shire Councillors immediately prior to Ordinary Council Meetings.
Select Councillors will gather at the Council Chambers Crookwell (44 Spring Street, Crookwell) from 5.30pm to give residents the opportunity to discuss matters contained in the Business Paper and any other items of interest.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council Mayor Brian McCormack OAM said the meet and greet was an opportunity for the community to have their say and for Councillors to gauge community feedback.
“It should be noted that due to work and other commitments, not all Councillors will be available ahead of Ordinary Council Meetings, however, a select number of Councillors will be on hand for the community to discuss matters important to them,” Cr McCormack said.
Ordinary Council Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month (excluding January) from 6.00pm at the Council Chambers Crookwell, with the exception of November 16, 2017 Ordinary Council Meeting, which will be held at the Council Chambers Gunning (123 Yass Street, Gunning).
Business Papers are available on Council’s website (www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au/council/council-business-paper) ahead of each Ordinary Council Meeting. Copies are also available to view at Council’s offices.
