He used a four-cylindered Reo truck with seating specially built for a passenger and parcels service.
Sixteen passengers were carried at 16/- return.
The daily journey took two hours each way. The vehicle was frequently bogged on the earth roads in wet weather.
The service was taken over by R. Isaacs in 1923 and later my Mr Parker who discontinued it in 1926.

Taking away the parking lines
On the subject of traffic movements in the main street, the car parking line markings in the main street, between Spring and Roberts Streets, are to be removed.
Councillors voted unanimously at last night’s Ordinary Council Meeting to remove the existing line markings until Council’s Streetscape Project is considered.
