At its core, Australia Day, is driven by communities and their celebrations held in each town, suburb or city – it is the celebration of what’s great about Australia and being Australian.
So gather your family together and head to Gunning’s Barbour Park, celebrations from 8.00am, the Crookwell Memorial Park from 8.00am and in Taralga at the Showgrounds from 9.00am.
At Crookwell there will be a barbecue breakfast commencing at 8.00am on Saturday for a small charge of $5 family or $2 single. There will also be morning tea available.
The awards ceremony will be included with the morning festivities as well as bush poetry performances, face painting, games for the children and much more. The day is proudly supported by Crookwell CWA, Crookwell Lions Club, Crookwell Rotary Club, The Rural Fire Service, NSW Fire Brigades, Crookwell IGA, Landmark, Upper Lachlan Shire Council and the Crookwell Squash and Fitness Centre.
