Daffodil day success - Auxiliary thanks Crookwell

Members were delighted to raise $1011.85 on the day.

Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser so readily again this year. 

This fundraiser would not be possible without the generosity of local people who donate their daffodils for the Auxiliary to sell.

The Auxiliary would like to thank Meg and Dean McIntosh, Helen and Keith Badgery, Sue and Brett Picker and Laggan Public School for allowing members and friends to pick in their Daffodil gardens and plots.

Luckily this year the weather was fine. In some previous years picking has been done in frost, rain and even snow.

Thank you to all those who assisted to pick, bunch and sell - Rotarians, Geoff O’Connor, Bill Martin and Ross Higginson, five very willing Interact students from Crookwell High Schoo,l Alicia Crossley, Caitlin Smith, Katelyn Ryan, Anthony Watt and  Gabby Haynes, Meg McIntosh and Jane Fraser and members of the Auxiliary.

LAST financial year the Hospital Auxiliary raised over $14000 to purchase equipment for the Crookwell Hospital and Health Service.

The Auxiliary is working toward building up our funds for this year so that more requirements on the Hospital’s Wish List can be provided as soon as we are able.

The next major fundraising events for the Crookwell Hospital Auxiliary are the Fete on November 1 and Open Gardens on November 2.

The Fete will be held in the Hospital grounds on the Saturday. On the Sunday, three beautiful gardens at Roslyn will be open – Margaret and John Mitchell’s, “McAlister”, Libby and Tim Rattten’s, “Ferndale” and Janine Hannan’s, “Rosslyn”.

The members of the Hospital Auxiliary look forward to the Crookwell community supporting our efforts once again over this weekend. We all depend on our Hospital and the wonderful services it provides. Our town and region are very lucky to have it and the Auxiliary works to assist it to maintain its high standards.
