Bigga Public School is a gorgeous and much loved little school set amongst very picturesque grounds.
It has a proud history within its close knit and supportive community and is the home of many fond memories for old students and staff.
It is a common meeting ground for many members of the community.
How nice it is to hear the myriad of stories full of humour, old friendships and the many and varied memories inspired by the school.
Its purpose now, as in the past, is to equip its students with the knowledge and skills to lead a fulfilling and successful life in whichever dream they wish to pursue in their future.
We strive to provide the best possible environment for each of our children to shine in whatever their own particular talents might be.
With our supportive and dedicated staff and P&C, we are committed to the students of this school. The little characters who attend each day always make us feel special and important and we strive to do the same for them.
It is a wonderfully warm, caring and productive place to work. I am sure Bigga Public School will continue to play a very important role in the lives of many of the residents of this area for many years to come.
Jo Coles, Acting Principal
My memories of Bigga Public School are of the children and the funny things they say and do. My favourite part of the day is listening when it is their news day. To watch their faces light up when they talk about what is important to them. About how much money the tooth fairy left them, what they did with Mum and Dad on the weekend or how they went in their sport. The bringing in of their special toy and the smile on their face when they show it to the class.
Also to witness the excitement when they learn something new and feel good about themselves. The children’s innocence, eagerness to learn, laugh and play makes my job at Bigga Public School an interesting and rewarding place to work.
