The large-sized, durable mower has allowed the Committee to better manage the lawns around the Hall, Fire Shed and St Silas Church grounds at Chisholm Park, Breadalbane by allowing more members to volunteer to assist on the mowing roster.
Previously, members had to transport their own mowers to and from the Park.

Upper Lachlan Shire Council Mayor Brian McCormack OAM welcomed the $5,000 grant under the Australian Government’s Volunteer Grants initiative and the $4,500 in funding from the Gullen Range Wind Farm Community Fund.
“Grants such as these assist groups like the Breadalbane Hall Committee to carry out their important work in the community,” Cr McCormack said.
“Breadalbane Hall Chairman Sally McLean undertook the grant application work and has been rewarded with successes with both applications.”
Skate Park update
Construction of the $215,612 Crookwell Skate Park facility at Clifton Park is now complete. Construction will start soon on new sheltered picnic tables and seating, a drinking fountain, cement pathways and pads, bins, safety signage, landscaped gardening and safety fencing.
The safety fencing will remain in place for the next four weeks to allow the grass to grow on the slopes and for safety signage and fencing along Laggan Road to be installed. The community is asked to stay off the facility until the safety fencing is removed as proper curing of the cement needs to take place and safe use of the facility is observed.
The opening is scheduled for Sunday, 2 April 2017.
