Acciona’s Gunning wind farm site manager Craig Simon said construction had now begun on the Gurrundah shed.
“We are delighted to have been able to provide funding for this great local project and we look forward to construction wrapping up over the next week,” Mr Simon said.
“Acciona’s community benefit fund supports worthwhile projects like these in our region.
“So far we have invested more than $180,000 as part of the program.”
Community member Stephen Friend said the town had been working on the project “for a long time”.
“We're delighted that with Acciona's support we've been able to see it realised,” Mr Friend said.
"The shed will be home to our truck, and stocked with other equipment we need to keep local homes and property safe from fire."
On top of the community benefit fund, Acciona also provides scholarships for local students to seek further education.
They also provide direct sponsorship to local sporting and community groups.
