Mrs Selmes decided to enter the ‘True Bride’ competition in the final month of the competition. The True Bride competition has been running for 12 months.
They need community support by voting for them, and Mrs Selmes has collected the most votes during February, ensuring her position in the finals.
She explained there are only 22 brides from across Australia in the finals which is for this month only.
“Only votes during March contribute to the finals,” said Mrs Selmes.
“The winner is the bride with the most votes at the end of March.
“They are crowned 'True Bride of the Year 2016' and they receive $2000 and their wedding story is online for a year.
“Voting is as easy as entering your name and email address.
“To vote, you need to go to the True Bride website, or they have a Facebook page.
“Voting just has to be confirmed by clicking a link in an email which is sent to voters by True Bride to make sure it is a valid vote.
“This is the most important part because otherwise the vote isn't valid.

Wedding Advice
“My advice to other couples, particularly brides, is to take a moment to stop and enjoy all the excitement before leaving home for the service/ceremony.
“Enjoy every moment. It goes way too quickly.”
