Bowen started karate with Micheal Whittington in may 2013 then in 2014 went to train with David Lambert. He has a brown belt 1st kyu. His sister Bethany, started in may 2014 attaining a purple belt 4th kyu. Phoebe started in January 2015 and has a blue belt 5th kyu and mum Allison, started in may 2016 and now has a green belt 6th kyu.
“We have traveled for the past four years to compete in Canberra, Yass, Orange and hometown, Crookwell.
The kids have won numerous medals over the years including Bronzes, Silver and Gold and I've become National champion two years in a row, winning Gold for both kata and sparring.
We enjoy traveling to Canberra to the AIS to train with world chief instructors and senseis every year and we are hoping to travel to Okinawa in japan in a few years. Sensei David is amazing. His commitment and knowledge makes him a remarkable teacher.
