Upper Lachlan Shire Council wishes to advise that our Crookwell and Gunning Administration Offices and Depots will be closed from 12 noon on Friday, 22 December 2017 and will reopen at 9.00am on Tuesday, 2 January 2018. The Taralga Administration Office will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Friday, 29 December 2017 and New Year’s Day.

The Crookwell Visitor Information Centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on New Year’s Day.
Crookwell and Gunning Libraries will be closed from 12 noon on Friday, 22 December 2017 and will reopen at 10.30am and 2.00pm respectively on Tuesday, 2 January 2018.
Crookwell and Gunning Swimming Pools will be closed on Christmas Day only.
Crookwell Tip will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, while Gunning, Taralga and Collector facilities will be open as usual.
Alterations to the kerbside waste and recycling services over the Christmas/New Year period will be as follows:
• Crookwell waste and recycle collection usually on Tuesday, 26 December 2017 will be carried out on Wednesday, 27 December 2017
• Gunning waste collection usually on Wednesday, 27 December 2017 will be carried out on Thursday, 28 December 2017
All other collections will be unchanged. Collections will revert back to normal after this time. Please be reminded that collection times may vary. To ensure your waste and recycling is picked up, please place bins out the night prior to collection.
Council’s General Manager John Bell said the annual closure is an opportunity for Council staff to spend time with their families and utilise excess accrued leave during what is a typically quiet period.
“As is the case every year, nominated staff will be on-call over the Christmas/New Year period to rectify any emergency situations should they arise,” Mr Bell said.
