The students at Taralga Public School are learning about Anzac Day in preparation for their annual march with the community of Taralga.

The students will participate on Wednesday, April 25 by singing a song during the service and marching in the parade with the servicemen and women.
The students have been studying Anzac Day with memorabilia to give significance to the day.
Teacher Ms Duncan showed the students photos and artifacts from her mother, who was an Australian Army Women's Searchlighter and her father who was in the RAAF and Army during World War 2.
Some of these things are 80 years old with some photos near 100 years!
Ms Grahame organised pieces from the Mulwaree High School Remembrance Museum, which the students could try on.
Taralga Public School utilised the book from the Department of Veterans' Affairs, "Here They Come, a Day to Remember" illustrated by our local political cartoonist Warren Brown, now an animated film.
The film and book explores different perspectives of Anzac Day and the significance of commemoration.
The students of Taralga Public School enjoyed the animation as they spotted some locals, such as John Sullivan who plays the bugle at the Taralga Service and our local Cenotaph.
The students will also cook Anzac Biscuits and this year they will carry them home in a cardboard slouch hat they have made. The younger students are making poppies for Remembrance.
