The Ngunnawal Bush Tucker School Holiday Workshop is on Thursday, July 19, 2-4pm. Come and learn about some of our local bush tucker plants, their uses and significance. This is a free event, but please RSVP: 0488 027 653, coordinator@gunningdistrictlandcare.org.au.
And on Friday, July 20, a special School Holiday Storytime will be held at 10.45am. Special guest Indigenous reader Joel Bulger will present an Aboriginal tale. Storytime is free and no bookings are required.
If you can’t make it this week, keep in mind that Storytime is held at 10.45am on the first and third Fridays during term time at Gunning Library. The themed sessions run for approximately 45 minutes and consist of stories and an age relevant craft activity or creative play. Children up to five years-old are welcome to attend Storytime.
For those interested in making friends as well as something with their hands, get along to the library’s regular knitting sessions on the first and third Friday of each month. No bookings are required. For more information call 4845 1231.
