A significant investment of $1.8 million has been announced by the State Government for multiple projects across the Shire.

The funding will be used to across several projects in the Shire.
“These projects will help to improve livability and accessibility and encourage healthy lifestyles,” said mayor John Stafford.
- $300,000: Development of the Active Villages program and installation of fixed, free to use exercise equipment in Gunning, Dalton, Collector and Taralga.
- $67,000: Breadalbane Hall to fund the construction of an all-weather pergola extension, this will create additional function space, and maximise the use.
- $315,000: The fit out of the Crookwell Memorial Oval Community Sports Centre, including bathroom and change room outfit, installation of specialised gym floor and canteen appliances.
- $150,000: Installation of lights at Lin Cooper fields in Crookwell to support night games of cricket and soccer.
- $356,772: Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan First Priorities, linking areas and providing safe crossing and accessibility, including; the construction of a shared footpath between Orchard and Walsh Streets, Taralga; a footpath in Bigga and a pedestrian refuge in Binda on Queen Street.
The funding is part of NSW Government’s $1.6 billion Regional Growth fund that supports and employs and strengthens local business. “The Stronger Country Communities fund is a once-in-a-generation investment and I’m excited for the people of the Upper Lachlan Shire,” said Member for Goulburn, Pru Goward.
