All of the participants will receive a passport for the journey beginning at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
The walk will start at 4pm on Saturday and people can participate up until 5:45pm, Uniting Church pastor, Daniel Mossfield said.
The nativity story celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and people can take the one-kilometre easy walking trail at their leisure.
People can take the walk which will pass by all three churches and wander through the churches for a traditional telling of the story.
Passports will be stamped at each church and include kid’s Christmas activities and the stories of the characters.
Now in its second year, the popular event will be a feature on the church and Christmas calendar, Mr Mossfield said.
The three churches also hold walking trail during Lent, and just before Easter, they hold a Palm Sunday walk.
The nativity walk will begin at St Mary’s Church, where people can collect their passports and meet the wise men, and then on to Saint Bartholomew's Anglican Church with the shepherds, before ending at the Uniting Church on Goulburn Street to see the holy family and baby Jesus.
