Now, it has also been selected for the CRT 2018 NSW Business of the Year Award.
The family-owned and operated business specialises in water solutions for farms and commercial companies, including Canberra Airport in the past, as well as parasitology (sheep worm management).
It is one of just six CRTs from 88 in the state to be nominated. This is also the second time the business has been nominated for the award.
Gunning Ag and Water Solutions was selected for its professionalism and ability to adapt to its customers’ needs, according to CRT NSW state manager Tim Doolan.
“Their local market knowledge and expertise has seen them become one of the strongest agricultural stores in the area.”
“Their incredibly high standards are established from the moment you drive up and continue throughout the store, reflected in everything from the layout of the store to the service you receive,” he said.
The team has monitored approximately two million sheep over the years and the water solutions side of the business has grown to account for 46 per cent of the business in eight years.
A lifetime Gunning resident and business manager, Roger Willoughby, said he and the team were extremely proud of their nomination.
“We pride ourselves on what we do and have a terrific customer base,” Mr Willoughby said.
“There are a lot of great CRT businesses in NSW, so to be nominated is a great achievement for us.”
The team will head to the annual CRT conference in Adelaide, where the NSW winner will be announced.
The winner will then be nominated for the National CRT 2018 Business of the Year Award, also to be announced at the conference.
