The 19-year-old, who grew up on the family farm in Wheeo, dreams of one day working in rural health. In the meantime she will continue her studies at Charles Sturt University in speech pathology.
The former student of Crookwell High School, and All Saints’ College, Bathurst said the competition would allow her to connect with other like-minded women.
She had entered for a new experience.
“It has definitely taught me a lot about myself … I have represented Crookwell in many sporting events [hockey and athletics] and this is another chapter in which I hope to make Crookwell proud. I have already met so many amazing girls who, like me, want to better themselves.
"I also want to thank the community of Crookwell, my family, and the Crookwell RSL for all the great support."
The Zone 3 finals will be held in Cobargo on March 9.
