If you enjoy the thrill of racing, laughing with the race caller or just cheering on your favourite little trotter, this event is not to be missed.

Head down to the historic pub from noon to catch all the action of the thoroughbred racing piglets as they compete across various courses to be crowned the winner.

The winning pig will be rewarded with a dish of delicious milk.

"The feature race, The Laggan Cup, will be open to all racing piglets and with very keen form across the field, promises to be a close finish," Upper Lachlan Foundation board member, Susan Reynolds said. 

"The race is growing in popularity with an increasing percentage of guests travelling from the coast, Sydney, the Highlands, Goulburn, Bathurst region and Canberra." 

The event has a full afternoon of exciting racing and entertainment.

It is ideal for groups seeking authentic country entertainment, friends dressed up or casual, young and old, including families.

The pub has a grassed area for relaxing and enjoying lunch prepared by Laggan Pub’s chef or a country barbeque manned by the local football club.

There is free camping on the Laggan Pub grounds, or guests take advantage of the courtesy bus return from Crookwell to Laggan.

An entrance fee of $5 per person (under 18 free), with the proceeds donated to Upper Lachlan Foundation to assist local charities, sporting, not for profit and social groups throughout the year.
