Marking the 104th anniversary of Anzac Day, the 2019 event attracted a larger crowd than previous years.
People lined the streets to watch the Anzac Day march which was led by the Crookwell Police.
For some the early morning rise has become a ritual.
President of the Crookwell Returned and Services League sub-branch Kevin King said, "You the marchers do so with great distinction and great courage."
The Reverend Wayne Landford of St Bart's Crookwell Parish led the service in a prayer for peace, freedom and humanity.
The names of the fallen were read.
"We recall those who in the great tragedy of war served to save all people.
"Amid loving friends in our mother country.
"We remember all.
"We think of very man, woman and child so the likes of freedom and humanity can survive," Mr King said.
Lest we forget.
