Victories over the Roverettes, the Binalong Jersey Girls, and the Gunning Rooetts in the last three weeks have put the She Devils in the best possible frame of mind ahead of their top-of-the-table clash against the Harden Hawkettes in two weeks' time.
She Devils coach, Paddy Lenane, credited the team's strong start in large to the impact of his co-coach, Chris Chudleigh, who oversaw the Green Devils' premiership-winning campaign in 2018.
"He's changed our attacking style a little bit and definitely our fitness," Lenane said.
"So it's just starting to pay off now."
As was the trademark when Chudleigh was at the helm with the senior men, the women have undertaken a simplicity-first ethos.
"We just keep things simple and that's the way Chris and I have started coaching them this year," Lenane said.
"Just do the simple things right, and the rest will come to fruition. Just keeping it simple and keeping our fitness up, just getting to the end to your sets is really paying off in the games."
The discipline to stick to their game plan will be crucial against Harden, as Lenane knows that both sides play a similar brand of football.
"I think it'll be a fairly low-scoring game, because we play much the same game style," he said.
"So it's sort of a whoever makes the first mistake and whoever takes advantage of it ends up being the winner in most of our games."
Working in Crookwell's advantage is their propensity to improve as the pressure on them increases.
"When the odds are against [Crookwell], they play a lot better," Lenane said.
"I think that's why we play so well against Harden. Because you're playing against a really hard side and it really brings the best out in you."
The match between the Crookwell She Devils and the Harden Hawkettes will take place from 1.15pm on Saturday, June 1, at Crookwell Memorial Oval.
