The theme for 2019 Education Week is 'Every student, every voice'.
It is a celebration of student empowerment and how the NSW public education system gives students the skills they need in order to have and express a voice during their own educational journey and as engaged global citizens.
The Binit Binit Learning Community, comprised of ten schools in and around Yass, will be showcasing students' learning and talents through art and performances.
Festivities will begin with an exhibition of art works completed by students under the guidance of local artists across many art disciplines. The 'Art & About' opening night will be held on Monday, August 5 from 6pm at Yass Soldiers' Memorial Hall.
The week will be finalised with an evening concert displaying students' talents in performing arts at Yass High School.
Throughout the week, each individual school will host a variety of events for their community to be involved in.
If you would like to join your local school for one of these events, please refer to the following schedule.
(Gunning Public School will combine its Education Week and Science Week celebrations with open classrooms, STEM demonstrations and a community assembly held during the week of August 19-23.)
