After a sterling start which saw Crookwell unbeaten after six rounds, the subsequent six have resulted in four consecutive losses followed by two wins.
Crookwell has often struggled with consistency in 2019, as injuries and an inconsistent lineup have made it difficult for the senior men to develop any momentum.
Their two latest wins have helped the senior men claw their way back into contention after four tough rounds, and they currently sit behind Stags F.C. (the reigning premiers) and Workers F.C. on the ladder, with 22 points.
So while Crookwell is far from being out of contention in 2019, the senior men will be looking to reaffirm their position near the top of the ladder in the last two rounds of the regular season.
Working in their favour is the fact that this weekend's match will be played against MBK, who are the lowest-ranked side on the ladder.
Currently last with no wins and 12 losses for the year, MBK have struggled throughout 2019. Crookwell will take confidence into the match, knowing that it beat its lower-ranked opponents 10-0 in round three.
As Crookwell currently sits only two points below Workers F.C. on the ladder, a win this weekend is crucial if the team hopes to climb further up the ladder.
With Stags F.C. and Workers F.C. set to play one another in the final round of the regular season, the next two matches could see Crookwell finish in second position if the Workers falter.
After round 14, the All Age Men will be split into two divisions, with the top four teams to progress into Division One.
Both Crookwell teams made it into Division One in 2018, but neither were able to progress past the semi-final stage, something that the senior men will surely look to amend in 2019.
This Saturday, August 10, Crookwell will take on MBK at Cookbundoon 3 from 1pm.
The other matches this Saturday will see Soldiers Green take on Stags '97, Marulan F.C. play Stags F.C., and Workers F.C. play Soldiers Gold.
