The awards recognise women who have demonstrated excellence in business and society or made outstanding contributions to their community.
In its ninth year, past winners have included doctors for disadvantaged groups and young mothers who support the homeless or needy.
The Women of the Year awards is a state government initiative.
Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman wants people to highlight the brilliant women in their personal and professional lives.
"So many local women pour their heart and soul into their careers, families and volunteer work, strengthening and enriching our community. These women are inspiring role models for all young women and girls in our region and it's time we show them that they are appreciated," Mrs Tuckerman said.
"I urge all of our residents to spend a few minutes on a nomination and let the women in their lives know they are valued."
Women may be nominated in seven award categories:
- NSW Premier's Award Woman of the Year
- NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year
- Community Hero Award
- Rex Airlines Regional Woman of the Year Award
- Harvey Norman Young Woman of the Year Award
- NSW Business Woman of the Year Award
- First State Super Lifetime Achievement Award
Nominations for 2020 close on Friday 25 October 2019.
