The Gunning Roos and Rooetes' may not be playing finals, but there were plenty of smiles on the final day of the season for the Club.

Saturday, August 17 turned out to be a very busy day for the Gunning Roos Football Club.
The inaugural Joey's Clinic for the children of Gunning and surrounding towns was held and it was a fantastic hit with a large number of children booking in.
The children formed groups and went to different stations with their Roo or Rooette leaders.
The clinic ended with a visit from St George Dragon and prizes were awarded for every child.
The Joey's Clinic was followed by matches from the George Tooke Shield league tag side and the George Tooke Shield side who both played against the North Canberra Bears.
Gunning Roos president Kathy Johnson said the fixture was a special one on the calendar, one where they also raise funds for a charity of their choosing.
"Each year when we play the Bears, we play for the Billy Dance Cup in memory of a small child that left us too early in life," Johnson said.
"This year, we also raised a total of $7983.24 for the charity Bears of Hope.
"This was a mighty effort for a community the size of Gunning by a Bush Footy Club."
Although the result didn't go the way of the league tag girls, going down 30-0, Johnson said there was a milestone in the game.
"Shanelle Grigor-Dastra played her 50th game for the Gunning Rooettes," she said.
"She is the first Rooette to ever do this."
In the men's,the North Canberra Bears were presented with the Cup after beating the Roos 50-0.
Gunning did hold the Bears to a low score until half time, but the class of the Bears shone through in the end.
Johnson thanked both the committee and subcommittee of the Gunning Roos for making the day possible.
The Gunning Rooetes ended their season on the bottom of the league tag ladder with one win.
The Gunning Roos also finished on the bottom of their ladder with one win.
