In June, the proponent, Crookwell Development, a subsidiary of Global Power Generation Australia, said they would revise the total number of turbines from 23 to 17.

A letter to the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) written by DPE's executive director of energy and resources Mike Young stated that the changes were not considered to alter the extent of the visual impacts for the majority of residences within the vicinity of the project.
It also said the removal of the southern cluster would also "reduce the benefits of the project as a whole and hence diminish the justification for approving the project".
The IPC is yet to determine the final outcome.
