The Grief and Bereavement Support Group.
This group offers support to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
The group has been launched by the Goulburn and District Suicide Prevention Network in partnership with R.J. Sidney Craig Funeral Directors.
Crookwell women Libby Newcombe and Haley Snape will run the group.
They are both experienced in working with people affected by grief.
"Self-help groups are a powerful and constructive means for people to help themselves and each other," Ms Newcombe said.
"It has been shown that the groups can make a significant contribution to positive outcomes for those who participate."
The group offers a chance to connect and understand with other people who have experienced grief.
John Crooks, managing director at R.J. Sidney Craig Funeral Directors, said it was clear the support group was much-needed after speaking with families.
The first support group meeting will be on Monday, September 2 from 6pm at the Crookwell Women's Association rooms on Spring Street.
