The program was developed by acclaimed music educator Doctor Anita Collins and includes teaching resources and the performance day.
"This is a highly interactive, inquiry-based approach to music education," Dr Collins said.
"No two performance days are alike."
Now in its second year, Music in My School engages kindergarten to year 6 students using material from the curriculum. In 2018, the program ran over three days for 4000 students.
This year's program will be held over six days.
Participating schools receive comprehensive, curriculum-aligned teaching notes to help students engage with the music before and after the performance day, from a range of perspectives.
