She Devils play the Tigerettes for a spot in the final

She Devils co-coach Paddy Lenane said a lack of players was a major factor in their semifinal loss.

"We only had a couple on the bench and in the back half of the game, we had a couple of injuries," Lenane said.

"We had the bare minimum on the field and just ran out of puff in the end.

"We couldn't keep up with them.

"The girls defended really well, but had to do too much and it took its toll."

Although it was a loss, Lenane was happy with the fight shown.

"Harden only scored a couple of late tries to win that game," he said.

"It was level at half time.

"We've had two pretty difficult games, but it's been pretty hot and we've been short on numbers.

"It has probably strengthened the girls' resolve a bit."

The She Devils will now have to beat the Bungendore Tigrettes, but missing the week off may be a blessing in disguise as they have a chance to gain momentum heading into the big show.

Lenane is sweating on a couple of injuries in the game where discipline is key.

"This week, we'll have a couple of other girls back," he said.

"Hopefully the injuries we picked up are just minor ones and we can put out a full team this weekend.

"We need to get the little penalties and turnovers out of our game that we've been giving away in our previous games."

While it's easy to get ahead of yourself a couple of weeks away from the grand final, Lenane is having none of it.

"We're not looking too far ahead.

"It's just the next game.

"We don't put too much pressure on ourselves.

"We'll give it our all and as long as the girls come out and know they gave it a hundred per cent, that's all I ask of them."

The She Devils take to the field on Saturday, September 7 at Seiffert Oval from 1.20pm while the Green Devils also play Bungendore afterwards.
