Kialla Colts def TBirds 2-0
TBirds were on the attack early and unlucky not to have an early lead. Colts players took some time to settle and combine.
Both teams passed the ball around to create many scoring opportunities.
TBirds younger players continually made inroads into Colts circle but were unable to convert with Colts backs breaking down play.
Colts made a good attacking move when the halves combined to send the ball deep into TBirds circle and Skelly scored a good goal.
The second half saw TBirds again started strongly but were still unable to break through Colts defence.
Colts combined passing the ball around with Robertson scoring to give Colts their second goal.
TBirds never gave up but time ran out and Colts go through to the B Grade Grand Final where they play Kialla after their loss to Vets in a very close encounter.
Vets def Kialla 4-3
This was very close game which either team could have won.
Both teams were attacking early and had scoring opportunities and the young players from both teams stepped up and had good games.
Both halves played a pivotal role in the game and continually set up their forwards. Kialla were first to score when McGaw scored a good goal.
Vets regathered and after a pass that started in the backs Morton scored a great goal in the circle to equalise.
Vets were on the attack early in the second half and were rewarded when Smith scored two goals.
Kialla kept attacking and beat the Vets defence to score a second goal.
With time running out, Kialla were awarded with a penalty corner and Kitchen made no mistake to give Kialla a third goal.
With only a minute left, Kialla are awarded another penalty corner, but the Vets goalkeeper made a great save.
Scores were tied at 3-3 at full time, so the game went into 10 minutes of sudden death extra time.
Vets from the hit off, made a good attacking move.
Smith sent a great pass deep into Kialla's circle which beat the defence and O'Brien scored the match winner.
Vets now play Schooies in the A Grade Grand Final.
