Students at Crookwell Public School jumped, hopped and skipped all term in the Jump Rope for Heart program to support people suffering from heart disease while learning about a healthy lifestyle.

Teacher and Jump Rope for Heart coordinator Lauren Cafferey said the students had been practising skipping routines set to music throughout term 3.
The new playground craze had kids rehearsing and practising before school, at recess and lunch, Ms Cafferey said.
On Thursday, September 26 the primary school invited the community to watch choreographed routines set to the latest dance tracks to raise money for the Heart Foundation.
Their routines included partner skipping, the criss-cross, cross-over, can-can and a few kids manoeuvred, the most difficult trick, the pretzel.
"We've been doing it during sport and the kindy do it as a brain-break activity," Ms Cafferey said.
"It's part of physical education and learning about healthy eating."
Each year, across the country, more than 300,000 students from more than 1300 schools participate in the program which is all about exercise, healthy eating and heart health. Students collect donations and participate in healthy activities over the course of the program.
Since 1983, more than 8 million Australian kids have participated.
