The club hosts a rally day every month which its members attend, but a Zone Rally Day is a different kettle of fish altogether.
Pony club president Catherine Culley said the club expects roughly 50 children to attend.
"I think we've got about 50 kids registered, which will be good. They're coming from Taralga, Gunning, Goulburn Breadalbane, and obviously Crookwell," Culley said.
The event, Culley confirmed, is the biggest on the pony club's calendar, and she said 19 local kids have registered to attend.
"They're very excited, they'll be doing a few things they've never done before," she said.
"We've got polocrosse instructions on the day, a few of the kids have never played polocrosse.
"Katrina Nixon will be instructing the team sorting, there's some show jumping and dressage, [and] the stockman's challenge."
The children attending the rally day will be broken up into age and skill groups, and from there they will take part in each of the activities with breaks for morning tea and lunch.
Culley added that local sponsors have donated prizes and gifts towards a raffle.
The pony club is part of Zone 27, which also includes Gunning, Taralga, Goulburn, Braidwood, Breadalbane, and Marulan.
The first major rally day which the club was scheduled to attend was supposed to take place on August 11 in Marulan, however that was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Crookwell Zone Rally Day is now the first major event of the season for Crookwell's riders.
The Crookwell Pony Club Zone Rally Day will take place this Sunday, November 10, at the Crookwell Showground from 9am.
