Crookwell Garden Festival
It's Crookwell Garden Festival time again and a chance to see some of the district's finest gardens, including the renowned 'Kiloren'. Established in the early 1950s, this grand and iconic Edna Walling design features groves of magnificent trees, extensive shrubbery plantings, mossy rock walls and hidden horticultural treasures. It's a "must see garden" and it seems, a "must see again and again garden" judging by the feedback from previous visitors.

Another wonderful "must see" garden open for this year's festival is Ian McFaul's masterpiece: 'Enid's Garden', a charming country garden famous for its colourful displays lovingly crafted from over 300 gorgeous old fashioned roses, carefully combined with clematis, iris, perennials, bulbs, flowering shrubs and heritage fruit trees. Last time this garden was open, it received rave reviews.
Fancy a more tropical effect? Charmaine and Richard Gay show you how to achieve this in a cold climate with their cleverly designed town garden, with sunken pond, bold foliage and tree ferns.
This intriguing garden also showcases stunning roses and is packed with great design ideas that will give you lots of inspiration for ways to make the most of small spaces.
These are just three of the gardens open this weekend. What other garden gems await?

Garden Lover's Market
Garden retail therapy doesn't get any better than this!
This year's Garden Lover's Market, being held on Saturday, November 9, is going to be the biggest and best yet, with even more stallholders and a greater range of products.
Rare plants, including unusual hellebores, irises, daylilies, perennials and shrubs will all be on offer, but you might need to get in early to be sure of getting the choicest horticultural delights.
There's also going to be a fabulous range of tools and equipment, awesome art works and of course plenty of delicious local produce and products including award winning olive oils, honey and more on offer. A great opportunity to meet some local growers and artists, and maybe purchase some really special Christmas gifts.
- This year the market is being held at the Crookwell Showground, East Street, Crookwell and the market is open from 8.30am-2pm.
