On Monday, November 11 he joined more than 100 people and 100 students at the cenotaph at Memorial Park in Crookwell to honour the fallen as part of national Remembrance Day commemorations.
The Reverend Wayne Landford led a prayer, followed by Pam Kensit who read In Flanders Fields written by Canadian physicist Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae.
The Crookwell Service was held at 10.30am by the Crookwell Returned and Services League Sub Branch.
There was a minute's silence followed by the sounding of The Last Post and the Rouse.
Speakers included Crookwell RSL Sub-Branch secretary Bev Hatch. Crookwell High School year 12 captains and vice-captains read the names of the fallen. The service was followed by a wreath laying on the cenotaph.
