More than 1170 homes and businesses have switched to the nbn, however not everyone has made the switch.
On Friday, some residents and businesses may have had their internet and phone services disconnected. Services such as EFTPOS terminals and fire alarms that operate on existing landline phone and internet services may have also been disconnected.
People with medical alarm, auto-dialler or emergency call buttons can register on NBN Co's Medical Alarm Register. Those with incompatible devices are urged to speak to the device provider and phone and internet provider as soon as possible.
This is the final stage of transition to the nbn network for Crookwell.
The copper network within nbn Fixed Wireless and Sky Muster Satellite areas will not be switched off.
"Homes and businesses within these areas will have the choice to keep their existing service over the existing copper network active or switch over to a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service on the nbn access network," head of NBN Co local for NSW and Queensland, Ryan Williams said.
Customers can choose to keep the existing copper service active for emergency communications.
Residents are encouraged to contact their internet and phone provider if their services have been disrupted.
