The Crookwell Country Women's Association (CWA) will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and president Lillian Marshall would like to see new members join the long-standing organisation.

The CWA provides a place for country women to strengthen their connection to the community, learn new skills and be part of a national movement with a powerful political voice.

"We are coming up for 100 years, still strong, and understand that life can be hectic.
"Being a part of the CWA is an opportunity to make lifelong friendships, learn new skills and make a difference to many lives within, and outside of our community," Ms Marshall said.
At the annual general meeting, she said the attitude of volunteers is changing and it is challenging to encourage new members.
"We are welcoming and inclusive and invite anyone to join our branch," Ms Marshall said.
The Crookwell CWA, which formed in April 1922 continues as a strong and vibrant branch. They meet every fourth Wednesday at 10am at the CWA rooms on Spring Street, Crookwell.
Its members raise money for families affected by disasters, including drought, and cancer research.
Across NSW, the CWA has distributed $14.7 million to help 8800 drought-affected families. The funds were from the "generous" donations of corporations, individuals, and members of the CWA, as well as a contribution of $2 million from the federal government.
The Crookwell country women support Care Flight, with money raised from Damper with Golden Syrup, baked goods, jams, and pickles at the Australia Day celebrations. As well as for Soldier On with proceeds raised at the ANZAC Day and Memorial Day morning teas.
