That's what dreams are made of and that's what James Kent did.
Kent's maximum off the final delivery gave Hibo Gold a three wicket win over the struggling Crookwell Golf Club at The Grange in the first grade competition of the Goulburn District Cricket Association on Saturday, December 14.
Gold won the toss and put Crookwell in to bat, which looked to be a terrific decision as they restricted the home side to 112 runs.
Jake Paterson top scored for Crookwell with 34 runs.
Corey Knight and opener Andrew Knight were the other two to score in double digits.
Cameron Herd was the pick of the Gold bowlers with figures of 3 for 15 off his four overs while Mitchell Harding took two.
Gold came out to bat and started well with a 37 run partnership at the top, but a slow run rate almost cost them the game.
Kent, who's top score was 14 prior to the match, was on 15 when his side needed six off the final ball to win and he did it in style.
Three wickets from Stuart Parsons and two each from Troy Bensley and Andrew Knight weren't enough to get their side across the line.
In the other game, Workers Stags dominated Hibo Green at Seiffert Oval with a 35 run win.
A quick fire 45, 39 and 47 from Josh Ryrie, Dylan Maddock and Tom McGregor respectively got their total to 163.
Green could only score 128 in reply.
After nine rounds of cricket, Green stay on top of the ladder despite their loss, Stags go up to second spot and Crookwell are in third followed by Gold.
The competition now goes into its Christmas break.
The next batch of games sees the Stags take on Gold at Prell Oval while Green take on Crookwell at The Grange both on Saturday, February 1.
However, after the Christmas break, the Goulburn District Cricket Association holds off for a month as the Allmac Cup takes place for three weekends in January.
