The event is set to attract strong competitors from across Australia and New Zealand with a total pool prize of $6000 up for grabs.
Fleece will fly as shearers compete for $3000 in the Open section. The remaining pool prize of $3000 will be shared across the Learner, Intermediate and Over 50s sections.
Bigga Quick Shear has attracted strong competitors in the past including local Rocky Wegnerd and New Zealand's Tahi Heka, organisers say.
Spectators can expect to see sheep shorn in under 0.30 seconds, organiser David Zouch said.
Experienced shearers will perform in the Open section and up-and-coming shearers in the Intermediate section, organiser Dennis Picker said.
And for anyone thinking of taking part in the quick shear for the first time and heading into the Learners section: "go for it", Mr Picker said.
"It's a fun day," he said.
All the sheep will be a similar weight and size to make the competition fair.
Competitors will shear one sheep in their respective heat and another sheep if they make it through to the final.
Judges Mick Stephenson, Stuart Crain and Charlie Chown will deduct points from shearers for any cuts to the skin and wool left on the sheep.
The family-friendly event is held at Bigga Golf Club and there will be a barbecue, refreshments and band from 7pm.
The event is the club's major annual fundraiser and everyone pitches in to make it happen each year.
"All the locals get together and provide their trucks, bring sheep in and help out on the day, which takes a lot of work," Mr Zouch said.
Most of the sheep will be provided by Grant Picker.
Nominations open at 11am and shearing starts at 12pm.
There is a cut-off of 60 shearers total.
