Upper Lachlan Shire Council says it's likely legal action will be taken against a Western Sydney company for dumping 41 tonnes of construction waste in the area.

The waste was unlawfully dumped on a private property on Towrang Road, Big Hill, the council said.
The council was alerted to the waste and launched an investigation, which found the waste came from Hurstville and Georges Hall in Sydney's western suburbs.
Further investigations revealed it was dumped by a Western Sydney-based waste disposal company, which the council cannot name at this time.
The council ordered the company to remove waste and transport it to a lawful waste facility.
The council's manager of regulatory and biosecurity, Warrick Dunstan, said investigations were continuing and that it was likely legal action would be taken.
It is likely the directors of the company will be prosecuted under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Mr Dunstan said.
"If you are an individual or company director thinking of trying to save a quick dollar, think carefully because you will be brought undone by the smallest of things," he said.
"Penalties for this type of behaviour range from $4,000 for a simple ute load of waste to $2,000,000 and or two years jail where asbestos is concerned."
