Evening Branch president Dawn Smith, secretary Jeanette Painter and publicity officer Danielle Crosbie joined Lions Club members Norm Fountain, Brent Hall and Jen Hall and Rotary's Les Hewett and Graham Chegwidden in presenting the Molift Raiser to the Wellness Centre's Heather McDonald and Debbie Webb on February 5.
The lifter, valued at $1,890, allows staff to transfer patients with mobility issues from a seated position, such as a car, to a standing position.
Previously, staff were using a sling lifter that was cumbersome and difficult to manoeuvre.
Evening Branch president Mrs Smith said Wellness Centre staff identified the need for the lifter and the branch was delighted to join Lions Club and Rotary in contributing equal funding for the purchase of the valuable equipment.
"CWA Crookwell Evening Branch raises funds for a range of local services and initiatives via street stalls and other fundraising drives," Mrs Smith said.
"The Wellness Centre is a fantastic community facility and this lifter will help to provide greater dignity for customers with mobility issues and support staff in carrying out their wonderful work."
