Acting on behalf of council, Jetty and Taverner Research will call a number of targeted community groups and businesses as well as random local phone numbers to ask the same questions that are included in the online survey linked to council's Have Your Say Website.
General Manager Colleen Worthy praised the inclusion of phone surveys to assist with reaching people who are interested in being engaged with the project but unable to complete the online survey.

"Phone surveys will be undertaken by the Councils in the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) area. Bega Valley Council has already started theirs and I believe Hilltops Council will also start this week."
Upper Lachlan Shire Council launched the online survey for Towards 2042 on its Have Your Say website on 22 June 2021.
Printed copies of the survey have also been made available at all council offices, libraries and the Visitor Information Centre.
Drop-In sessions were originally planned but had to be cancelled due to health and safety concerns related to COVID pandemic health orders.
Mrs Worthy said the Towards 2042 project was designed to guide the community through important discussions on the main ideas and priorities for our local government area for the next 10 years and document these in a Community Strategic Plan.
"This is a great opportunity to share your ideas and influence our future. It's your chance to envisage what you, your friends, family and the wider community will need to grow and thrive Towards 2042," she said.
"It's also important to note that these callers are not part of a scam. If you have any concerns, identify that the caller is from Jetty and Taverner Research and that the questions they ask are the same as those in the online survey."
