The pair gained access to the rooftop of a student housing centre off Melbourne's Swanston Street on April 10 to film the sky-high stunts.
Footage shot from a neighbouring window shows one of the figures praticising 'kickflips' and coming close to stumbling off the building's edge.
The other figure appears to be filming the skateboarder.
The footage was posted to Reddit under the title 'just casually skateboarding on top of a 40 [storey] building' with the top commenter saying "if that board went off it could definitely kill someone".
The alleged trespassing is among a number of nerve-racking incidents with people climbing to the top of Melbourne skyscrapers or being on the roof without safety equipment.
On the same day a picture was posted to Reddit of up to six figures sitting on the edge of a different student accommodation tower on A'Beckett Street.
