The second-round of the federal government's Drought Community Support Initiative will be distributed by the St Vincent de Paul Society National Council and the Salvation Army.

Fifteen million dollars will be given to farmers, farm employees, farm suppliers and contractors in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The Upper Lachlan Shire will be serviced by the Salvation Army.
Payments can cover expenses such as groceries, vehicle maintenance, energy and utility bills, health and medical expenses, for example.
"The process will be as straight forward as possible for people who are seeking help under very difficult circumstances," St Vinnies chief executive Toby O'Connor said.
