Organisers estimated at least more than half of the crowd was from outside of the shire, bringing in new money for a good local cause.
The event raises money for the Upper Lachlan Foundation, which is passed onto community groups in the area. An early count shows the event raised more than $20,000 gross.
A percentage of the money raised also supports Crookwell's rugby union and rugby league clubs, Crookwell Dogs and Green Devils.
Upper Lachlan Foundation chairman Chris Croker said it was a fantastic result, with the event also giving people something to look forward to with a number of events cancelled in recent months due to drought and fires.
There were five races on the day including Hewitts Maiden Trotter Handicap, HDC Maiden Snout Handicap, McGeechan Ham Stakes, CFM Crackling Handicap and ULF Laggan Cup.
Piglets raced their way through an assault course of tunnels and ramps to a prized bowl of milk at the finish line.
There were seven piglets for punters to bid on and the highest bid of $1070 went to the naked pig, which lost its coloured jacket earlier in the day.
The event was run by Noah's Thoroughbred Racing Pigs, which has been running pig races for charities for 20 years.
